Ignore status
I hate when I try to talk to someone and it says so and so is ignoring you. I thought it would be easier and nicer if someone's ignoring you, it just showed them as offline to you. What does everyone else think?

I think it's fine the way it is. It'd take me far too long to go into reasons for each side and examples, so that's my bottom line.

not if you are in the same guild it will show that you are online on the rooster but not on your friends list.
so the question is why would you be in a guild where people put you on ignore

Why would you be talking to someone who ignored you anyway?

I think I see where the poster of this thread is coming from. You get into an argument probably from a conflict in a PvP battle. You take it over PM because the match ended, so talking in Local is no longer available. Now, you try to argue your point to them, but they ignored you. Yet, they continue to spam your inbox with their point while you're left speechless. I have done this to people to simply make them shut up, to the point where "I don't care what you think."
Ignoring, I think should only work for whisper. I think you should still be able to read their comments on Local, Guild, Team, Trade, and Alliance.

i think it already works that way.
But if somone spams you with alot of rubbish because you beat them in RA you may as well let them know about it.

Actually the way it is is that if you message someone who's ignoring you (and you may not know they are, which is why you would) and it says So and so is ignoring you. It doesn't show them as appearing offline. And yes I think it should only be in whisper, but what about during AB when someone keeps spamming stuff? It's happened so many times, you put them on ignore, and still have to hear them. Annoying. But of course since that isn't whisper they wouldn't know they were being ignored.
